01Wax Injection
Wax patterns establish the geometry of the casting.
INVESTMENT CASTING
Twelve stages. One finished component.
A CONNECTED PRODUCTION ROUTE
Silica sol and composite-process investment casting follow a controlled sequence, from preparing a wax pattern to finishing and inspecting the casting.
01Wax patterns establish the geometry of the casting.
02Patterns are assembled onto a common gating system.
03The wax assembly is coated with refractory slurry.
04Refractory layers build the ceramic shell.
05The shell is prepared for wax removal.
06Wax is removed to leave the casting cavity.
07The ceramic shell is fired before pouring.
08Molten metal fills the prepared shell.
09The ceramic shell is removed after cooling.
10Individual castings are separated from the tree.
11Remaining gates are ground from the casting.
12Castings are checked before subsequent work or delivery.
AFTER CASTING
Machining, material verification and inspection complete the route according to the component requirements.
